In Texas, attorneys are already mandated by the Supreme Court of Texas to use e-filing for all civil cases filed in the district courts, statutory county courts, constitutional county courts and statutory probate courts. Likewise, the Court of Criminal Appeals has mandated e-filing for all criminal cases in appellate courts, district courts, statutory county courts, constitutional county courts to be fully implemented by 2020.
As any legal professional knows, missing notice of an action to be taken against your client, or a document served by the opposing party, can have devastating consequences. At best, having to call up your opponent to ask for another courtesy copy of the missed service can make your legal team appear incompetent. Too often, attorneys and their staff fail to click on those e-service links within 15 days of receipt, and when or if they finally get around to it, the link has expired.
Let us be your dedicated e-service assistant. We will monitor all of your e-service notifications, download and save (capture) each and every pleading, notice, or other document that you are electronically served.
E-Service Capture clients will receive a daily digest email with a link to all of their electronic service documents in one folder.
Premium E-Service Capture clients will receive the daily digest email along with a list of pertinent deadlines and settings noted for each service document.
Available “add-on” services can be purchased (e.g. saving a copy of each served document to its corresponding soft case file on your firm’s server or cloud; and/or forwarding additional copies to specific staff or clients). Fee structure will be determined upon the add-on and amount of typical usage.
